The BYHP Advisory Board provides BYHP and the Leadership Team invaluable strategic and operational guidance for the benefit and future of the organization. Each of our Advisory Board members are a prominent or senior member from industry, academia, non-profit, or the government, that provide their health sector insights for the advancement of our mission and vision.

Danielle Thompson
Healthcare/Nutrition Policy
President Emeritus / Advisory Board Chair
Danielle is a Senior Program Specialist, School Nutrition Programs at the USDA Food and Nutrition Service; Northeast Regional Office. Previously she was President of BYHP for 6 years before becoming the Chair of the Advisory Board. She also held positions with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute before joining the USDA. Danielle holds a Masters in Public Policy from Brandeis University and a BA in History from Hollins University.

Sarah Sabshon
Government/Health Policy
Sarah is Associate Chief of Staff for Policy & Cabinet Affairs for Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey. Previously she served as Policy Director on the Governor's campaign, following almost a decade in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, where she held a variety of roles, including Health Policy Advisor to two House Speakers and Chief of Staff for the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing. She was also General Secretary to BYHP on the Executive Board for several years. Sarah holds a Masters in Public Health from Boston University and a BA in Public Health from John Hopkins University.

Taylor Lehmann
Healthcare IT
Taylor is a Director, Office of the CISO at Google where he supports Healthcare and Life Science companies with cybersecurity leadership. Previously Taylor held various senior level positions at Amazon, Athenahealth, Tufts University, and HealthEdge with information and information security. Taylor holds a MBA from Boston College and a BS in Finance and IT from University at Buffalo.

Katherine McGraw
Media/PR
KT McGraw is the founder and principal at AMP COMMS. She has 20+ years of experience on both the corporate and agency sides of healthcare- and technology-focused communications and public relations. Prior to launching AMP, KT served in a variety of senior leadership roles at integrated agencies such as W2O Group and SHIFT in Boston, MA. KT also worked in-house as part of the corporate communications team at Nuance where she supported building awareness for their healthcare division. She takes great pride in working hand-in-hand with early- to mid-stage digital health companies that are solving some of the most complex and costly issues facing industry and patients today. KT is also personally interested in helping to drive awareness and change specific to diversity and equity in healthcare.

Rashmi Basapur

Rashmi is a Vice President Primary Care at Commonwealth Care Alliance where she rose from Strategy Planning and Chief of Staff positions. Previously she held consulting positions at Accenture and the Chartis Group. Rashmi was also Strategic Partnerships Co-Chair for BYHP where she was involved in corporate and academic partnerships and alliance management. Rashmi holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Columbia University and a BA in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.

Joel Weissman, PhD

Dr. Weismann is a Professor of Surgery in Health Policy and Deputy, Director of Center for Surgery in Public Health Harvard Medical School/Brigham & Women's Hospital. He has led numerous funded research projects in which he has studied the relation of patient safety to hospital crowding, the reporting and disclosure of medical errors to patients, access to clinical trials by uninsured participants. Dr. Weismann received in PhD in Health Policy from the Heller School at Brandeis University.
